Embryological study for jejunum development in broiler chicks

The purpose of this research to study histological and histochemical characteristics the jejunum in broiler Ross – 308 chicks. A total 120 commercial eggs (Ross-308) were used conduct research, with embryos chicks ranging age from (11,15,21) pre hatch (7,14,21) post ,The samples stained using Hematoxylin-Eosin, Periodic Acids Schiff (PAS), Alcian Blue (AB pH-2.5), Masson’s Trichrom , measure length width villi, height epithelium, depth crypt, thickness mucosa ,sub ,muscularis, serosa, number goblet cell per 100 simple columnar epithelium villi increase significantly (p≤ 0.05). highest value 1054.46± 5.422 µm 137.78± 12.531µm ,height epithelium73.5± 3.316µm, crypt 189.74± 3.087µm, 70%± 4 ,and tunica 1293.44± 4.495µm sub 12.66± 1.711µm, muscularis 230.86± 4.283 µm, serosa 34.26± 2.843µm, respectively found at 21 hatching
